Narrative: Adding the Shoulders

Adding the Shoulders

Livi discussed how she had lost the shoulders a while ago when her scene crashed. So I added in some shoulders again, making sure they appear spider-like.

Narrative: Combining the Head & Body - Complete!

Combining the Head & Body - Complete!

After combining the limbs to the body, the head was where things became more difficult due to the body lacking geometry to fit with the head. So Alan showed me that if you combine vertices by three and delete the previous middle edge, you will end up with a four sided shape, however obviously is not the best way to do things.

Refining Finger Tips & Nails

After receiving the body model, some issues came about. I had to change the finger tips of the model and add grooves for the finger nails to be slotted in.

Character: Game Name & Logo Designs

Game Name & Logo Designs

1) FENIX RISE // FENIX RISING?
2) RISE OF FENIX?
3)IRIS

The 'Rise of Revolution' would be shown everywhere in the game, as this logo would be the games logo and the heroes symbol for freedom and nature; but mainly as their mark left behind by them before they escape into the shadows. It would be seen on the main characters face (Fenix) as like a paint mark over his eye. Although not currently sure which eye just yet.

Fenix Development & Head Sketches

Developing Fenix the Fox using the flat images I created and taking it into a more interesting pose to vary the clothing and design for his head. This is something I will use and develop further for the rest of my characters.

Character: Hero (1) Little B. Refined Outline

Little B. Refined Outline Design

This is the refined drawing of Little B before more minor refinements take place, along with colour comps, a detailed concept art piece/turnaround and her weapon design. However, I am still unsure if I should make the villain my second character or another hero, as I'm still not 100% about the Villains design.

Character: Logo & Symbol Research

Symbol Definitions

I looked into some shapes and their global definitions and symbolic references as I plan on having a logo used as the heroes 'mark/ tag' and also the villains liquid formula logo.

Circle

"The circle is a universal symbol with extensive meaning. It represents the notions of totality, wholeness, original perfection, the Self, the infinite, eternity and timelessness. The circle is also zero in our system of numbering, and symbolizes potential, or the embryo. It has a magical value as a protective agent and indicates the end of the process of individuation, of striving towards a psychic wholeness and self-realization. Circle of Necessity: birth, growth, decline, death. Defense against chaos, formlessness."

Triangle

"As a three-sided polygon, the triangle represents the number three, which is meaningful to many groups. As such, triangles and other symbols made of three parts may be used to present such concepts as past, present, and future or spirit, mind and body. Point-up triangles can also represent ascension toward the spiritual world, while the point-down triangle can represent a descent into the physical world."

Octagon

"The octagon is found in baptisteries as a symbol representing eternal life as – likely because the number eight is symbolic of renewal. The eight sides of the octagon represent eight aspects of human endeavor considered important to the generalist. These might be something like Science, Engineering, Literature, Fine Arts, Philosophy, History, Mathematics, etc., although there are other candidates. The point is that the set should span the major categories of intellectual activity."

The Start of Head Sculpting

I have taken on the role of sculpting Miss Andry's head while Livi starts the body. Still needing to change the eye and nose before final refinement.

Character: Game Environment Thumbnails

Game Environment Thumbnails

I want my environment concept art to be from the views of my heroes; looking how they would get in and out of the city and to their hideout in the woods. Sneaking into the city via sewer/ pipework or fences. Still many more thumbnails to come.

@Alan Character & Hollywood Formula: Cars

(Cars Film Poster)

Lightning McQueen

  • Wants: To be the first rookie racer to win the Piston cup and thereby gain a lucrative endorsement deal with Dinoco Oil.

  • Needs: To be a part of a team with close friendships and love.

  • Change: Realizing that fame and the Piston cup are not the most important things in life.

  • Flaws: Dislikes his current, unflattering sponsorship with Rust-Eez Medicated Bumper Ointment and his lack of enthusiasm for non-sports cars.

  • Conflict: He is conflicted about his love for Sally and Radiator Springs and the thought of being a winner and fame.
