Major Project: End Goal

End Goal

After the minor project and dissertation, its been a busy couple weeks. So while I am progressing with my characters, I have decided to layout my plans again. I already linked this in my 'art of' but I wish to create something very similar to the video below. I don't think has really been done much on the course, as it doesn't really convey a story, but rather like something that advertises a film - yet not quite a trailer either. It will convey a mood through lighting and and single voice over. Simple animation will be needed, yet it needs to be convincing.

The environment is something I am confident about as it will only be a collection of very small scenes - A forest environment with one larger scene being the finale.

Minor Project: After Thoughts

Completion

I feel that 'the Beast' is my strongest character right now, because I have given time to develop and understand him completely. I know that silver is technically modeled completely, but I also want to push her model further; better detail and slightly higher resolution model. The Bear needs more feature and facial sculpting and finalized clothing. As well as poly hair.

Next Steps

To further character models and then skin, rig and texture.
Finalize the rigging process with extended knowledge from Alan.
Use Mudbox to add details and help the texture progress.
Add dynamics for extra character detail. Example: Beasts constant glowing eyes.
Fully completed turnarounds.
Find voice actor(s).
Storyboard and develop a finalized animatic.
Conceptional environment(s) art.
Model/texture environment.
Pre-visualisation of key scenes of the animation.
Animate fully // Render scenes.
Add extra features in After Effects with Alan's help to extend character quality.
Any other post-production.

Minor Project: The Beast Model Complete

The Beast Model Complete

Final minor sculpt needed on his face, with minor hair tweaks indefinitely. But he's pretty much modelled.

EDIT: The images have jagged lines due to the screen capture quality.
